Trustee Recruitment Pathways is a peer learning programme, which supports a cohort of charities to design and run a live trustee recruitment campaign. It can be commissioned by federated charities for their local branches, by infrastructure bodies for their members and by funders for their grantees.

In 2018, we piloted Trustee Recruitment Pathways with support from Comic Relief, The Pears Foundation and The Anjoli Stewart Fund. We worked with 30 charities all over England and Wales to run open, professional trustee recruitment campaigns to support the charities to recruit the voluntary board members that they needed to continue to thrive. The results were compelling:

  • 100% of the charities advertising for new trustees as part of the programme recruited new trustees;

  • 68% feel they are better equipped to deal with the challenges facing their charity than before;

  • 35% feel their board is more representative of service users now;

  • 65% feel their board is more diverse now.

We are currently running cohorts of Trustee Recruitment Pathways for funders, charity networks and federated charities. Get in touch if you would like more information.
