What does a trustee actually do?
Trustees of charity boards are the final decision-makers. They have oversight of all the charity’s decisions and to set the charity's direction. Interested? Watch our series of short videos for a brief overview of what the role involves.
Working with employers
We work with forward thinking universities and businesses to help them train their employees to become trustees. You can read more about the type of work we do together here.
More about transforming Surrey

Transform is a powerful programme that can bring deep and dynamic change to charities, regardless of size, cause or geographic location.
The Surrey VCSE Alliance charities who took part share Getting on Board and ATRD's belief that board diversity means having a mix of people on a charity board who have the relevant skills, knowledge, lived and learned experience and background to do the job well and that the mix should be representative of the Surrey community they serve and society as a whole.

The Transform programme empowers existing trustees on charities to recruit diverse new board members and to create an inclusive environment in which to serve.
